| Simply bleeding the brake fluid every 6th months can make an APPRECIABLE difference in stock braking. How many of your customers cars had stock brakes gone over before you took them for unrelated (to brakes) test drives? And if I can run 20 minutes of HARD (VERY Goddamn HARD) laps on a fast track, and have NO brake fade... then maybe it's all a matter of brake setup. Scratch that, not maybe, definently. That's the one reason I haven't bought Russells Willwood kit...I can get substantial braking from the stock setup... so why drop 4 grand when it's not needed? I still don't understand why no one listens to me on this point. Go ahead, put your big brake kit on your car, I'll have mine... TRY and lose me on a road course... It's just not going to happen. I'll be right there the whole time. Pinky Swear. I'm so glad i'm getting burned out on this place... now that Z1 is taking over this forum and spreading their ....stuff(?)... and using it as their 'playsite'... all of which I do not appreciate.
"Long story short my boost guage was off i think a couple psi and then the bulb went out on it that night. So I used a flashlight to read what my boost was. Looked like 19 pounds, but I guess I was wrong. Then to top it off, I was bouncing off the rev limiter and powershifted to third. And then the big boom. To my amazement, the next morning it acutlly started!!!! then I shut it off a couple secs later it was killing me to hear what it sounded like." - Posted by: hot90tt(underconstruction) on January 19, 2004 at 11:15 AM |
